Under Construction at Celtic Airsoft:

The site is evolving. The mission continues.

THE ANNOUNCEMENT

Celtic Airsoft is under construction as we invest in the next stage of the site. Three new themed buildings are on the way, designed to expand our scenario gameplay, alongside major improvements to the safe zone.

The aim is straightforward: give you more ways to move, plan and play, and make the time between games better too.

Games are running as normal during the works. Our venue remains open, and weekend skirmishes, night operations and private bookings continue. You may see some construction activity while you’re on site, but our marshals will brief you on any temporary route or area changes on the day.

THREE NEW BUILDINGS. MORE WAYS TO PLAY.

The new themed buildings are being developed to slot into the scenarios already played across our 25-acre Merthyr Mawr woodland site. They’ll add new tactical options to a landscape that already includes The Fortress, The Trench System and The Tower.

Each of those existing areas shapes the game differently. The Fortress brings multi-level tactical play. The Trench System demands close-quarters awareness. The Tower offers a vantage point that can influence how teams approach an objective. The new buildings will add further variety to that mix.

Expect new possibilities for routes, cover and objective play. A familiar woodland approach could lead into a tighter engagement. Teams may need to decide whether to push through, hold a position or find another way around. The buildings are intended to bring fresh encounters into the wider outdoor setting.

That combination matters. These additions won’t replace the natural terrain that makes woodland airsoft distinctive; they’ll give scenarios more ways to use it. Expect a broader tactical picture, with more choices for teams to assess and more reasons to adapt as each game unfolds.

We’ll share the buildings’ names and further details when they’re confirmed. For now, the focus is on creating new features that work with the existing site and open up fresh possibilities for future games.

SAFE ZONE IMPROVMENT

The safe zone is a key part of a full day at an airsoft venue. It’s where you get ready, listen to the briefing, stage between games, take a break and reset before heading back out.

We’re making major improvements to this space, with more room and better facilities for gearing up, staging and downtime. It’s a practical investment in the whole game day, not just the minutes spent on the field.

A more usable safe zone can help the day run smoothly from arrival through to the last game. It gives players a more comfortable base between scenarios and a clearer place to prepare, regroup and recharge.

The safe zone also remains central to our safety procedures. It is a strict no-fire, no live weaponry area, and players must follow the site rules and marshal instructions when entering and leaving it. The upgrades are about improving the player experience while keeping that clear separation between gameplay and downtime.

We’ll share more about the improvements as details are confirmed. Check the website and your booking confirmation for the latest information before travelling.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR GAME DAY

More varied scenarios. More tactical decisions. More reasons to return.

For regular players, the new buildings will create fresh ways to approach objectives and familiar areas. Veterans can expect new challenges to read and respond to. First-timers can experience a varied airsoft skirmish in a professionally marshalled environment, with the team on hand to brief them on gameplay and site procedures.

Our existing features remain part of the experience. Plan around The Fortress, work through The Trench System, use the Tower’s vantage point and explore the woodland routes between them. As the new buildings join the scenario mix, the possibilities across the site will grow.

The investment reaches beyond the field as well. A strong day out depends on the whole experience: arriving, getting equipped, understanding the mission, playing, taking a break and heading home after the last game. Improving the safe zone is part of making that full experience better for returning players and new visitors alike.

If you’re looking for airsoft in South Wales, Celtic Airsoft combines natural woodland terrain with purpose-built gameplay areas. The development will add to that offer while keeping the site’s outdoor character at the centre of the experience.

THE SITE REMAINS OPEN

Construction is under way, but games are continuing as normal. Our regular weekend skirmishes, night operations and private bookings are unaffected, and the 25-acre Merthyr Mawr woodland setting remains the backdrop for play.

You may notice visible works during your visit. Please stay within the areas open to players, follow any marshal instructions and keep clear of work zones. If a temporary route or area change affects the day, marshals will explain it in the briefing.

For the latest availability, event information and booking details, use the Celtic Airsoft website and check your booking confirmation. You can also view our woodland skirmish details.
